Updates

Life Update:
Time change last night- so when Z was tired an hour earlier for bed than he normally was I attributed it to the time change...until Sean pointed out he should be awake an extra hour instead of asleep an hour earlier...whoops.

We went to a wedding this weekend. Such a fun date night for S and I and prime time for Z to hang out with Uncle Tad.

School is trucking along, two more weeks with this rotation and then onto something new...and the LAST one!

House Update:

Wood floors on Tuesday!

Railing went up on the back porch this past week, along with inspection and some minor changes that they are making for us.

The porch is going to be a perfect place for Z and I to play when it's raining, or for me to read while I watch Z play in the backyard.

So far everything is still on schedule and we should be moving in the 1st weekend in April!

Baby Update:

-We've officially entered the 'teething phase.' About 4 months ago, I questioned the pediatrician about the constant drooling, and gnawing on toys and she attributed it to teething. And now, finally we see evidence of that with a small hint of white that has popped up in the bottom layer.
And apparently this lasts for several months...

We've also started our 'stranger anxiety, I only want Momma or Daddy' phase.

Combine that with the teething phase, and any stranger (person who isn't mommy or daddy) who doesn't have tylenol on hand is in for a LONG day....

Onto the more exciting things Z is discovering...how to play catch, conversation skills (as in he says: AHHHH, pauses, I reply back with something of intelligence, and he replys back with another AHHH...or dadadadada) and cause and effect.  It is so fascinating to watch him develop an opinion about things, pick toys he likes, or expresses he wants something.

Life is going 100mph and school isn't going fast enough.

Changes, changes, changes....

Sick days, hanging in the pajamas, laying around in bed, is how we are spending our Thursday.

Lots of exciting news on our home front, lots of growing up, lots of changes, and lots of changes for our friends too!

Z has moved to the 'big boy' carseat, is sitting up like a pro, trying SO hard to crawl, got diagnosed with a diary allergy, and is learning lots of new sounds and tricks on a daily basis.

My new favorite one is him learning to shriek like a girl at the top of his lungs.

He loves bathtime, and learned how to splash early last month.

Still eating like a pro, and proved that by his whopping 20lb weigh in at his 6 month appointment.

We are moving on up to a real house...one that we can call ours. We are really excited about this change, and ready to stop being a nomad college attending family.

Although we will miss the student discounts.

In less than a month we will move into our house,
In two short months I will be finished with school,
In two and a half months I will be Dr. Teisha Ray,
In three months I will start a real job,
In five months I will be a registered pharmacist, we will celebrate two years of marriage, and one year of life!

And all along the way we will remember to enjoy the moments, smile at the small things, and cherish all the milestones coming our way.
