"I love being pregnant..."

Have those friends that LOVE being pregnant?

They glow, and just go on and on about how wonderful it is?

Me? Definitely not one of those women.

Let's be real- the fantastic boobs that I loathed in middle school are wonderful, but then the saggy mess they turn to afterwards is NOT.

The messed up skin, the "did she eat too many burgers or is she expecting?" stage lasts WAY longer than that 'oh look at that cute little basketball baby bump!' stage.

(And then comes the "I'm DEFINITELY pregnant, and fat and get this baby out of me because I am waddling stage"- my favorite...)

Especially after my pregnancy with Z - after all the sickness and nausea I wasn't sure who was crazy enough to LOVE being pregnant.

Sweet pea has been a whole different story. I wouldn't say I love being pregnant, but it's definitely WAY easier this time around. It's been a dream pregnancy and minus the occasional strong smell or random craving I have forgotten I'm pregnant up until recently.

***And of course this is all understood that the end result is way worth any pain, nausea, vomiting, and weird other crazy symptoms you have throughout the next 9 (really, it's 10- or at LEAST 9.5) months.***

Sugar and Spice and everything nice...

SURPRISE!

Sean and I got to go to our big 20 week ultra sound on Friday. We showed up at Zayden's school with PINK balloons!
He was SO excited to get 'bloons" although I doubt he cared what color they were. He has been saying since day 1 he wants a "girl baby" and he was right!

Then we got the excitement of swinging by Waco to pick up the delicious cupcakes my best friend Jennifer made us with PINK filling.

They were delicious and we got to surprise my family with a mini gender reveal cupcake party. They were in for a double surprise because they didn't even know we were having our an ultra sound friday!

 GRADUATION:

My brother graduated with a BS in Biology this weekend. He starts 'big boy world' and his first job in a week. We had a great time celebrating his accomplishments and seeing family all weekend.

Our year in a whirlwind

A LOT has happened in the last year. And we tried to promise that 2012 was going to be less eventful- but so far that has not proven to be true.  Eventually we will stop trying to top the previous year!

So here's our last year in the nutshell- more for my own 'completeness sake' then for any of the three people that read my blog. :)

June 2011
- Started my first  'real' job and studied hard for the boards.
- Sean took a trip to go fishing with his roommates from college
-Studied, Studied, Studied!

July 2011
-Studied, Studied, Studied!
-Took my licensing exams and waited anxiously
-Sean took a trip to float the river with all the boys to celebrate new babies arriving (They just needed an excuse for a float trip!)

August 2011
- Celebrated Zayden turning 1 with a big ball party with all of our close friends and family.
-I found out I passed my licensing exam and became an official RPH (registered pharmacist)

September 2011
-Enjoyed the beautiful fall weather and being a family without any studying!
-Sean took a two week work trip to Oregon and got to see his brother and sister in law. I spent several days with one of my close friends from pharmacy school who happened to have a rotation in Temple and moved into our house for a few weeks!
-Zayden learned to walk and my 'oh this parenting thing, so easy!' philosophy was thrown out the window!

October 2011
-I turned 25....WHOA.
- Sean and I spent a week in Chicago while Zayden went to my parent's house. We had a great time and enjoy a vacation of just us.
-Zayden spent Halloween as Steve Jobs and was pretty much the coolest toddler on the block.
- New babies were born! Two of my closest friends had babies in late Oct/Early Nov. What a joy to share the ride of parenting and loving on babies with close friends.

November 2011
- Thanksgiving was bittersweet for us this year. The last time A&M will play UT...(for awhile at least!) We enjoyed one last house divided turkey day
-Had a great time celebrating T-Day with my family.

December 2011
-I got to experience my first Christmas as a pharmacist. (People get sick even on Christmas unfortunately!)
-We enjoyed visits with Sean's family and watching Zayden say "up lide" (Slide) over and over.
-We also told Zayden the story of the Jesus and after we were done I explained to him that Jesus was the reason from the season. He looked at me in all seriousness and said "Santa Claus?"

January 2012
-Rang in the new year with new and old friend's with a great night of games and food
-I started a new job at poison control that allowed me much more time at home with Zayden and into a whole new aspect of pharmacy that I love
-Sean started a new job with the City of Killeen doing what he loves and specialized in during college.
-Realized we were both INSANE for starting new jobs at the same time- thankful we had insurance coverage throughout the transition

February 2012- Now it gets interesting.
-February 17th we found out Baby Ray #2 is coming in October. Thanks to technology and a visit from my mother (that was timed by God) we got to tell everyone face to face with Zayden in his "Big Brother" shirt.
-We had conveniently purchased our first 'family car' a week prior to finding out about baby number 2. GMC Acadia with plenty of room to grow!

March 2012
-Sean turned 25- SO OLD!!
-Celebrated a wedding of a close pharmacy friend and had a mini pharmacy reunion.
-Sean and I spent an evening out with the Norton's at Austin Rodeo enjoying the roping and the Eli Young Band concert.

April 2012
Zayden and I enjoy many playdates with friends and trips to the zoo, the gym, and the park. As well as numerous lunch and play dates.
-Spent the Easter weekend in Lubbock visiting Sean's family and Zayden got to hunt lots of Easter eggs. It was sad for Sean because it was his last visit to the house he spent his entire childhood in. (His parents are retiring and moving to a cabin in the mountains!)
-Went to 'poppy festival' in Georgetown as a family.

May 2012
-Took Zayden to his first baseball game where he came for the cotton candy...not the baseball.
-We took a family trip to Corpus Christi for the weekend. Zayden wasn't a fan of the beach but LOVED the big sand box. (Wasn't too fond of the unpredictability of the tide.) He loved the aquarium and splash pad and definitely is a made for the pool where we spend most of our afternoons.
- We are headed to Dallas this weekend to see my family and my brother graduation from college. We haven't all been together since Thanksgiving and I can't wait to see them
-We also find out the sex of Sweet Pea later this month. Z insists it's a 'baby girl' and he wants a 'sister.' Not much longer and we will see if he is right!

Ok so if you made it this far, kudos to you. But most of y'all have facebook and probably knew most of this already.
