Don't tell my husband.
I have a big secret that he hasn't figured out yet. And if someone spills the beans it won't be fun for me.
A couple of weeks ago we bought one of these:
And since then my time spent in the kitchen has dramatically decreased.
He now thinks it's fun to cook.
Crazy crazy man. (This is one gene I did not inherit from my mother with her wonderful cooking skills. )
See I hate being in the kitchen. Despise it. I'd be totally content eating frozen dinners or eating out until the day I die. But having a husband who loves different foods- good foods, and health reasons and expense issues all that other stuff, it is much more sensible to eat at home.
But lately my kitchen time has been limited to making vegetables and side dishes (throwing mixed salad into a bowl, heating beans in the microwave, or boiling broccoli in water...not really making anything)....
And we've been eating so much good food. Porkchops. Fajitas. Steak. Chicken. Asparagus.
He loves it. I love it. And he thinks it's fun to cook.
So let's not tell him the truth- that cooking is so boring....and maybe when it gets colder, and we can't light up mynewbestfriend the grill, he'll still think its fun, and cook inside on the stove.

Excited for the day when I have a back porch for a grill...these tiny balconies just don't cut it!
