anti Valentine's Day

I'm not a huge Valentine's day fan. Not for any particular reason, other than I fall into that category of "why should we express our love one day out of the year..."

I'm not so anti Valentine's Day that I would wear this shirt:

And I'm not one of those "I'm miserable, lonely, and am going to pull a pity trip for an entire 24 hours..." (at least not anymore)

So needless to say Sean and I have never really made a big deal out of Valentine's Day, much to his enjoyment I am sure. So I was very surprised when I received these on Friday:

And then we decided to buy some good steaks and grill out steaks and potatoes and have a romantic evening in.
Needless to say the wind didn't cooperate with Sean as he attempted to grill, so we threw in the towel to a romantic Valentine's in and ended up eating some good ole fine Valentine's Dining:

Rudy's barbecue.
But these nights are the most fun. The spontaneous, plans fall through, sit at home laughing as we eat off a ream of paper. Those are the nights that make you fall in love all over again.

Day 3

Last night Sean and I went to Bryan Community Theater and saw an audience interactive murder mystery play. We enjoyed ourselves quite a lot.

One of the things pre-martial counseling stressed was weekly date nights and the importance of them. This has to be one of the favorite things we learned in marriage counseling by far. And something that has been much needed in the last few weeks with classes and weddings reaching max stress points.

This week's forecast= lots and lots and lots of studying!
